Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how Crowned LLC, a limited liability company operating under the legal business name "Crowned LLC" (also referred to here as the "seller", "Crowned", "we", "us"), collects, uses and shares personal data when you use Crowned, a software platform that helps beauty professionals showcase their work, connect with clients, and grow their businesses. Crowned does not process payments for beauty services. Crowned LLC is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at privacy@getcrowned.com.

Personal data we collect

• Account data — name, email address, login credentials, account role (client or beauty professional).
• Professional profile data — business name, bio, city, specialties, services and prices, policies, availability, portfolio photos, external booking links.
• Marketplace activity — appointment requests, model call listings and applications, saved professionals, reviews and private feedback you submit.
• Support messages — the content of emails and reports you send us, including broken-link reports.
• Technical data — IP address, device and browser identifiers, and usage or telemetry data such as booking-button clicks and page views.

Why we use it and our legal basis

• Creating and running your account and providing the service — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• Publishing professional profiles, model calls and reviews — performance of our contract with the professional and our legitimate interest in running a useful marketplace.
• Security, fraud prevention and platform integrity — legitimate interests.
• Customer support — performance of our contract and legitimate interests.
• Product improvement and aggregate analytics — legitimate interests.
• Marketing emails — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.

Who we share data with

• Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database, storage, email and analytics providers that process data on our instructions.
• Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, which handles the sale of Crowned Pro memberships, subscription management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
• Other users — information you choose to publish (a professional profile, a model call, a public review) is visible to other users and visitors.
• Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where needed.
• Authorities — where we are required to disclose data by law.

Retention

We keep account and profile data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must retain records to meet legal, tax or dispute-resolution obligations. Support correspondence is kept for up to 24 months and technical logs for up to 12 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can manage much of this in your account settings, or contact us at privacy@getcrowned.com. We respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls on our database, private storage buckets for uploaded photos and restricted administrative access.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may use limited analytics cookies to understand how the marketplace is used. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though essential cookies are required for sign-in to work.

Changes

We will update this notice when our practices change and will revise the date above. Continued use of Crowned after an update means you accept the revised notice.
