Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of Crowned, a software platform that helps beauty professionals showcase their work, connect with clients, and grow their businesses. The service is provided by Crowned LLC, a limited liability company operating under the legal business name "Crowned LLC" (also referred to here as the "seller", "Crowned", "we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you are contracting with Crowned LLC and agree to these Terms. If you use Crowned on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction.

The service

Crowned lets beauty professionals publish a profile, services and prices, portfolio photos, policies, availability, external booking links and model calls, and lets clients discover professionals, view portfolios, request appointments, save favourites and apply to model calls. Crowned Pro is our paid membership, which unlocks growth tools such as posting model calls, featured placement and analytics.

Crowned does not process payments for beauty services

Crowned is a software platform only. We do not take payments for, and are not a party to, any beauty service. Beauty services are provided by independent professionals, not by Crowned. Bookings, payments, cancellations and the services themselves are between the client and the professional. Where a professional links to an external booking site, that booking and any payment happen on that site under its own terms — Crowned does not process, hold or receive those payments and is not responsible for them. The only payments Crowned processes are Crowned Pro membership subscriptions, handled by our reseller Paddle (see below). Model call appointments are for training, portfolio building or practice, and professionals must clearly state whether the service is free or discounted.

Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Professionals must hold any licences their local law requires for the services they offer.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse Crowned. In particular, you must not:

• use the service unlawfully or for any fraudulent purpose;
• post spam, fake reviews, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit content;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• interfere with the security of the service, including malware, probing, scraping or circumventing technical limits;
• reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, listings, reviews and other content you upload, and you confirm you have the rights to it — including permission from anyone shown in a photo. You grant Crowned a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, display and process that content solely to operate and promote the service. If you believe content on Crowned infringes your rights, email support@getcrowned.com with details and we will review it; repeat infringers lose access. We may remove or restrict content that breaches these Terms.

Our intellectual property

Crowned retains ownership of the platform, its software, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan.

Memberships and payment

Crowned Pro is billed as a recurring monthly subscription at the price shown on our pricing page, and renews automatically until cancelled. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by our payment provider — see Paddle's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Service level and warranties

We work to keep Crowned available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not endorse or guarantee the quality, safety or licensing of any professional listed on Crowned.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill, and our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Indemnity

You will indemnify Crowned against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may close your account at any time from your account settings. When your access ends, your published content is removed and your data is handled as described in our Privacy Notice.

General

You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA, and the courts of Mobile County, Alabama have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law gives you a different venue.
